Our grins are ready to meet yours!
Dr. Diana absolutely loves to dance and sing, not particularly well but she loves it anyway. In fact, she has been known to sing loud and dance hard during a patient visit!
One of the thrills of her life came at a taping of the Ellen Degeneres Show where she danced (poorly) and sang (perhaps off-key) and apologized profusely to the lovely woman next to her for stepping on her foot repeatedly.
Dr. Diana is a lifelong Hoosier originally from Northwest Indiana. Her dental career started early when she became a dental assistant for an oral surgery group after high school. It was there that she found her passion taking old dental textbooks that the surgeons gave her and reading them after work. She believes that working at every level within the profession has given her a unique perspective on providing dental care.
Dr. Diana is proud to be named a Top Dentist the last five years in Indianapolis Monthly. She also is currently part-time faculty at the graduate pediatric dentistry program at Riley Children’s Hospital working with the residents in the operating room.
There is nothing that Dr. Diana loves more passionately in life than her two children, Finn and Whitney. She understands that all parents share that sentiment and believes that providing only the absolute best care is acceptable for your children.
Michelle has worked in the pediatric dental field for over 15 years, 8 of those years have been spent with Dr. Diana. They are like a little old dental couple. Michelle is most gifted at helping parents navigate their child’s schedule to maximize dental care.
You can attribute the energy and competence of Growing Grins’ front desk to Michelle’s leadership. In fact she controls the ambiance of the office as well. All the music you hear while here is determined by her. If Michelle is feeling country... Country station it is! Outside of work you will often find Michelle at her happy place: Jim Dandy restaurant with her three girls!
Natalie has always had a thing for teeth - really! In fifth grade health class Natalie’s favorite part was talking about teeth. She remembers drawing a tooth structure for the first time and being so proud! Working in the field of dentistry was a natural for her.
Building on her love of children, Natalie started her career directly out of college in pediatric dentistry at the beginning of 2012.
Natalie & Dr. Diana have strongly different opinions of Taylor Swift but they’ve managed to push those aside to become friends. Away from the office you’ll find Natalie with her husband - she married her high school sweetheart - and their beautiful daughter.
Jenna joined our team after graduating from the Indiana University dental hygiene program in Fort Wayne. She currently is working on completing her last class for her bachelors degree. She has known since high school that her dream would be to pursue a career as a dental hygienist! Jenna takes great care and concern for your child’s oral heath by making each cleaning a special and unique experience.
Jenna is left-handed making her the yin to Dr. Diana’s right handed yang. Jenna’s two great loves in life are food and running. She recently completed the Chicago marathon and is currently eating through all that Indianapolis has to offer on the food scene.
Khaila is a 2015 graduate of the Brightwood Dental Assisting Program. Before finding herself in the dental field, Khaila worked with children with special health care needs. She is the bright and smiling woman you first meet when you enter Growing Grins Pediatric Dentistry.
Khaila spends her weekend as a sports mom warrior. She can be found with her two kids, Kamya and Terris, on the soccer field, basketball courts, and baseball fields.
Stephanie graduated from the dental hygiene program at Ivy Tech in 2016 and came to our office experienced in the pediatric field. Dental hygiene has long been her passion which made it easy to decide on her chosen career. However, she was excited to use all the education and knowledge learned from exploring childhood education and early child development early on in college in providing care to dentistry’s littlest patients.
Stephanie participates in ALL holiday decorating and is okay with Dr. Diana’s November 1st Christmas playlist for the office. She also is a classic music lover including Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys, and vintage Taylor Swift.
Emily recently graduated from the International Business College with a degree in dental assisting. This was destined to happen since she enjoyed going to the dentist so much as child herself. She also enjoys helping people and now enjoys teaching her little girl how to take care of her teeth.
Emily likes to spend time with her daughter whether it is shopping, at an ice cream shoppe, or at the movies. She is currently engaged to her fiancé who loves her spirit of decorating their house for all the seasons.
Rachael has wanted to work in dentistry since childhood. But while in school, it was then she realized that her passion was working with children to help provide the most positive dental experience possible. And not only does Dr. Diana love her for being amazing with the kids, she respects that Rachael also served our country for 6 years in the Indiana Army National Guard.
Rachael loves singing along to the always growing playlist at Growing Grins Pediatric Dentistry and LOVES that the Jonas Brothers have made a comeback. She also loves spending time with her husband and two dogs, Bella and Jackson.
Rakel has joined the team at Growing Grins Pediatric Dentistry for a very special reason. She is currently applying to dental school and wanted to learn more about the inner working of a dental office! Dr. Diana was more than happy to have her as a staff member because she has so much gratitude for the dentists who allowed her to work in their office while she was applying to dental school herself. Having Rakel in office feels like a pay it forward moment and she couldn't be happier it's with a star like Rakel.
Rakel has aspirations to one day open a pediatric practice. Her passion stems from growing up with a brother with autism and hopes to create a practice where all the kids, including those with special health care needs, feel respected and taken care of.
